Two performances on the 12 and 14 March at Novgorod theatre for children and youth «Mali» (Velikiy Novgorod) will present first Russian premier of play «MY MOTHER MEDEA» by Holger Schober. Artistic Director Nadezhda Alexeeva decided to create Russian version of performance after meeting in framework of ETC at Festival ?Young Europe? (Strasbourg) and successful stage reading of play in time of International Theatre Kingfestival (2011), this production make first experience of ?Theatre in classroom? in Velikiy Novgorod. Production «MY MOTHER MEDEA» by Holger Schober is a mix of strong mythological background (myth about Jason and Medea) and contemporary drama for youth, but creating from point of view by children of famous heroes (Eriopis by Kristina Mashevskaya and Polyxenos by Alexey Korshunov). Connecting with modern problems as immigration and divorce of parents, this performance could be very fresh and social active play for young spectators and really new step for Novgorod theatre ?Mali?.
