THE CLOUD IN PANTS

The play, which combines theatrical and musical elements, is based on the French version (Russian subtitles) of Vladimir Mayakovsky?s magnificent poem ?A Cloud in Trousers?. It features two actors, as well as three musicians who perform live music, which consists of songs using the original Russian text of ?A Cloud in Trousers?, has been especially composed for this production.

• Company ?Roar of the dragonfly? has been established in Nanterre (France) in 2002. The theatre company has worked both on classic texts (?The Misanthrope? by Molière, ?Danton?s Death? by Georg Büchner?) and contemporary plays (?Chopalovic?s travelling theatre? by Liubomir Simovic, ?The Whale? by Laurent Labruyère?). The ?Roar of the dragonfly? has been working in Velikiy Novgorod for almost one month in 2005 in order to write a play, ?Novgorod ? east exit?, which has been played about one hundred times in different French cities (especially during the international theatre festival in Avignon in 2007).
