PROJECT «THEATRE IN CLASSROOM»

with support of European Theatre Convention (ETC) and Novgorod State University

In collaborate with European Theatre Convention (ETC) and Novgorod State University, Festival presents a non-profit cultural project dedicated to contemporary European contemporary plays for classroom. The project managed in partnership with the Faculty of Linguistics and Crosscultural Communication of Novgorod State University (and personally with the Dean of faculty Dr. Elena Zhukova). Actors of Novgorod Theatre for Children and Youth ?Mali? presents special stage-reading of 3 plays in Russian translation by students of Faculty.

• The European Theatre Convention (ETC) is a public theatre membership network founded in 1988 to promote contemporary drama theatre as part of our European cultural heritage, to support the mobility of artists and to develop the artistic exchange throughout and beyond Europe. To achieve these aims, the work of the ETC is based on three columns:The ETC is an advocacy network representing the European public theatre sector on a political level and nurturing long-term structured relationships with European political institutions.The ETC is an intercultural producing theatre network developing international collaboration and artistic mobility projects with the focus on multilingualism, artistic education and European citizens in theatre.

  The ETC is a professional platform for theatre practitioners that encourages the intercultural dialogue, organizes meetings, invests in education and training opportunities and initiates research and publications in the fields of translation.
