Its a children’s fairy tale in verse by Korney Chukovsky, named after one of its heroes and written in 1921. The story is told from the perspective of a boy, from whom his things suddenly begin to run away. The talking washbasin Moidodyr who appeared tells the boy that things ran away from him because he was dirty, and by order of Moidodyr, brushes and soap attack the boy and begin to wash him.
