Two couples meet to discuss in a civilized manner a dustup between their children. They do not even suspect how ridiculous and comical their attempts to sign a peace treaty between two families will look, when everyone has their own ambitions, fears, secrets and their relations with the «civilized world» in the first place. The tragicomedy of the French playwright Yasmina Reza was successfully staged in theaters in London and New York, won the Laurence Olivier Prize, and was directed by Roman Polanski as a feature film that received several Golden Globes. This is a subtle, witty and dramatic story of our contemporaries and the endless rules of behavior in modern society.
