MARKUS ZOHNER THEATER COMPAGNIE, Switzerland’s famous and world wide touring theatre company, is happy to present a wonderful, poetical, hilarious, gorgeous performance: EVA & ADAM

Created and directed by Patrizia Barbuiani, EVA & ADAM explores human nature through movement, dance, rhythm and by the intertwining between comedy and tragedy.

EVA & ADAM in paradise stumble into each other’s arms.
Two naked creatures, free and happy, ready to explore Garden Eden wih its peaceful animals, its ample plants and an endless firmament.
Everythin is allowed. Everything, beside eating the only apple. Obedience in exchange for immortality.
Curiosity, immagination and noncompliance are basic ingredients of clown’s archaic nature. He pays any price, just for receiving a piece of truth.
Expelled from the Perfect Place and catapulted into modern world, Eva, the woman, and Adam, the man, become two patronized creatures who work, suffer, and blindly struggle on, scrutinizing themselves about sense of life.
Their encounter and their falling in love, finally open the door to a different paradise to be explored. They try to create a life together and do every effort to arrive to consciousness about Good and Evil, till teath do them apart and conducts them back into original pardise.

  One essential element in the work of the MARKUS ZOHNER THEATER COMPAGNIE is the search for the intertwining between the tragic and comical aspects of theatre, trying to illuminate the otherwise invisible areas of human nature.

  Besides touring, producing and directing, the company offers master classes for professional actors on «The Creativity of the Actor».
  The Company organizes every year the MARKUS ZOHNER THEATRE ACADEMY, with theatre workshops held by the most brilliant teachers from all over the world.
